“What are the 39 Steps”?

Updated: Feb 17, 2020

“The 39 Steps” by Patrick Barlow (with the permission of Samuel French), adapted from the novel by John Buchan, is our next production and rehearsals are now well under way.

We are having enormous fun as we try to recreate this spell-binding thriller with its chase on the Flying Scotsman, the escape on the Forth Bridge, a bi-plane crash on stage and the finale at the London Palladium.

Come and enjoy the mayhem and discover the secret of “The 39 Steps”.

The production dates are Wednesday 25 – Saturday 28 March in the Parish Hall at 7.30 pm.

Tickets can be obtained from Anne Lawrence (682351) or via our website

They cost £8 or £5 for students, and there will be a licenced bar.

We hope to see you there!

A big ‘thank you’ is due to the other users of the Parish Hall for their patience and understanding while we commandeer it for 10 days. We do appreciate your support, and that of the management of the Methodist Chapel, Broomhaugh.

Thank you for reading this
