Hi All On behalf of the Drama Club Committee, we hope you are all well and staying safe. I know some are as we are chatting on our weekly ZOOM meeting, kindly arranged by Colin.
Do feel free to join us, even for a few minutes, to say ‘hello’ and catch up. Please Email for Details For the rest in these difficult times, I thought I’d drop a line to let you know what isn’t happening in the foreseeable future. First of all, we shall not be able to hold our AGM for some time. We’ll let you know when but, at the moment, it just isn’t safe or allowed. On the minus side it means that I have to stay on as Chair, until we formally meet and I can escape. BUT, we can still receive your subscriptions! The fees were supposed to go up this year but, in the light of everything, they will be frozen for 2020/21. This means that an individual should pay £7 and a family is £12. If you are still in education, it’s £1. Sally Lockey would love to have your money, but only if you can afford it right now. Also, she would prefer it if you paid by Bank Transfer. The account details are: Riding Mill Drama Club, Please Email for Details If you would prefer to pay by cheque, then please send your contribution to: Sally Lockey,

Thank you.
In other news, the proposed 70th Anniversary Celebration Evening is postponed. I’m so grateful to Celia Bridges and Hazel Osmond for what they have already done. Sorry we can’t take it further.
As far as the November Production is concerned, I have today had a chat with Chris Heckels, our intended Director. We agreed that it will not be feasible to go ahead with the show. The advice from other theatre groups suggests that January 2021 may be a time when it would be safe to begin things like rehearsals and, if anything is going to be possible, we are hoping that ‘The 39 Steps’ will be our next production.
Sorry to be so negative about almost everything, but at least you can pay your subs (if you can!)
Best wishes
Mike
