Autumn 2022

Casting for the spring panto Cinderella is under way and rehearsals will start in Nov

Members of the Drama Club will be saddened to hear of the death of Philip Latham.

Philip had been a member of the Club for over 50 years. He made his first appearance on stage in the play “Celebration” and he last performed in the Mystery plays as God…….not a bad way to begin and end your acting career!

He always had a real stage presence, though the words he spoke were not always the ones in the script!  He certainly kept the other members of the cast on their toes!

We send our sympathy to his family and assure them that Philip will be remembered by the Club with affection.

Anne Lawrence.

The planned play for this November has unfortunately had to be cancelled

We do have a Mega-Quiz night to take its place

Oh What A Lovely War

Is a satirical look at World War One.

It chronicles the story of the conflict using songs and documents of the period, in a seemingly light-hearted way with the cast performing in Pierrot costumes.

It was first performed by Theatre Workshop directed by Joan Littlewood in 1963, where It won the Grand Prix of the Theatre des Nations festival.
